Silversands Grenada: Where We Host Spicemas 2027

Spicemas is the reason you come to Grenada. Where you rest between the fetes is what decides whether the week restores you or wears you down. After nearly two decades of moving groups through Caribbean Carnival, we have learned that the base you choose is not a detail. It is the difference between surviving the week and savoring it.

For our Grenada Spicemas travel experience, we chose one address: Silversands Resort Grenada at Grand Anse.

A Forbes Five-Star base on Grand Anse Beach

Silversands Grenada sits directly on the powder-soft sand of Grand Anse Beach, the island's most celebrated shoreline. It is a Forbes Five-Star, Five-Diamond member of the Leading Hotels of the World, and it carries that standard in the quiet ways that matter after a long night of mas: service that anticipates, spaces that calm, and a staff that treats your comfort as the whole job.

It is also close. The resort is roughly a ten to fifteen minute private transfer from Maurice Bishop International Airport, one of the shortest airport-to-resort drives of any five-star property in the Eastern Caribbean. You land, and you are almost home.

Rooms and villas built for recovery

Spicemas asks a lot of your body. J'Ouvert before sunrise, Monday Mas, Monday Night Mas, Tuesday on the road. The room you return to has to give it all back.

Every accommodation at Silversands is designed for exactly that. The Garden View Suite opens onto a private patio over lush tropical gardens, with a king bed, a spa-style en-suite with a soaking tub, and the spa, beach, and pool a short walk away. The Ocean View Suite trades the garden for floor-to-ceiling windows and a private balcony where the Caribbean Sea meets the horizon, plus a spa-style tub with a view of the water.

For a group that wants the resort's finest address to itself, the four-bedroom beachfront villa stretches to 6,000 square feet directly on the sand, with four king master suites, a private pool, two plunge pools, and a chef's kitchen. It is the most exclusive footprint on the property, and the natural home for a crew traveling together.

Dining and a spa that do the real work

All-inclusive is only as good as what is included. At Silversands, the dining runs from beach-club ease by the pool to refined, Asian-influenced plates with a Grenadian twist, across restaurants like Asiatique, the Grenadian Grill, and Puro. Breakfast is handled every morning, and our packages add a daily resort credit you can spend across the restaurants and the spa.

The spa is the part Carnival travelers underrate. After two days on the road, a treatment is not a luxury, it is maintenance. Silversands built its wellness program for recovery, with therapists experienced across physiotherapy, Ayurveda, and Eastern techniques. It is how you walk into Tuesday as fresh as you walked into Monday.

Why the base decides the week

This is where our operating philosophy and the resort meet. A ten-minute transfer means you are not losing an hour each way to traffic. Breakfast handled means you are not hunting for food before J'Ouvert. A spa on property means you recover on site instead of pushing through. Every one of those is a small thing. Together, they are the reason our guests last the whole festival and still look forward to the flight home feeling restored, not wrecked.

That is the whole promise of how we travel. You show up. We handle the rest.
