  • Experience Akwasidae - Akwasidae is an important festival celebrated by the Ashanti people in Ghana, West Africa. Held every six weeks, on a Sunday, this festival has been celebrated for centuries, paying homage to ancestors and community. It is held on the grounds of the Manhyia Palace. The word “Akwasidae” means “the day of the sacred stool” in the Ashanti language. The sacred stool is an important symbol of the Ashanti people and represents the unity and strength of their community.
